Since you are here for the Championship – enjoy the best of Poznan during your after-hours!  Ahead of us are some spectacular events of the jubilee 35th edition of the Malta Festival!

From the nostalgic “Embodying Pasolini” by Tilda Swinton and Olivier Saillard to the deeply moving blues-soul songs of Australia’s The Teskey Brothers. From the imagination-stirring aerial acrobatics of the French troupe Cie Gratte Ciel in “RoZéO” to the unique musical spectacle of the queen of electropop, Róisín Murphy (one-half of the famed ‘90s duo Moloko). Malta Festival will transform Poznań into a festival of diversity – brimming with music, movement, positive energy, and a connection with nature – from June 20 to 28.

A big part of the Festival happens just next door to the Championnat :  Malta’s Music stage is at Hall No. 6 of the Poznań International Fair . The stage will be inaugurated by Alaska Thunderfuck. The beloved finalist from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5, and one of the show’s most iconic stars, lands in Poznań on Friday, June 21, with her electrifying musical cabaret that blends burlesque flair with sharp wit and dazzling costumes.

On  June 21, The Teskey Brothers will take over the stage for the concert marathon. Engaging in an honest dialogue with the analogue legends of blues and soul, this band has long enchanted audiences with its rich instrumentation and timeless lyrics on the beauty and fragility of human nature. Their concerts are electrifying yet intimate and personal. The band effortlessly fills the world’s largest concert halls, and now, for the first time, they will perform in Poland!

On Monday, June 23, the beloved French group L’Impératrice will take music lovers on a journey through an eclectic soundscape of boundless electronic possibilities. Their fluid movement between genres—from nu-disco to funk and synth-pop—blends the disco sounds of the ‘70s and pioneering electronics of the ‘80s with their unique sensibility, creating an original mix that captivates both dance enthusiasts and experimental music seekers.

There is no need to introduce Róisín Murphy. Adored in Poland, the artist will return for another spellbinding concert on Tuesday, June 24. Rising to international fame in the ‘90s as part of the trip-hop duo Moloko, Murphy is not only the queen of electropop but also a true stage diva. Her performances are both musical feasts and dazzling fashion spectacles—fusing popular and high culture, she appears in an array of costumes and styles.

The instrumental works of the Canadian band BADBADNOTGOOD have gained worldwide recognition for their bold fusion of jazz, electronics, and hip-hop – earning the trust of both jazz purists and contemporary music enthusiasts alike. Loved by audiences both young and old, their energy-filled, improvisation-rich concerts forge a deep bond with the audience. The smooth-jazz collective will take to the Malta stage on Wednesday, June 25.
