Seeds Toppled on a day of Surprises

It was a great day for the underdogs in the round of 32 in the Mixed Teams, as Mentalist, Akinom, Ashe, Latest, and Shourie all defeated higher seeded squads. The Seniors completed their qualifying contest, the eight teams advancing to the quarter finals being Dutch Seniors, Zimmermann, 11Jaszczak, Vinciguerra, Denmark, Srebrne Lisy, T3M and Norwegians. Three seeded teams, Mossop (4), Markowicz (6) and Turkish Seniors (8) fell by the wayside. In the Mixed Pairs qualifying Mikulas Krasa and Pavla Slovakova lead after three sessions followed by Olech Bestrzynski and JustynaStachowiakKluz and Dan Bylund and Helena Stromberg. In the Mixed BAM qualifier Telediagnosis, NYA Bridgeskolan and Cassio were the leading three.
